Police investigate Molotov cocktails thrown at Espoo hospital

Police are investigating an incident in which a man threw two Molotov cocktails towards the entrance of a hospital in Espoo on Saturday, Yle reported.

The case is being investigated as an attempted aggravated criminal damage offence.

Police were notified at about 2.30am. A man under 30 who is suspected of the offence was arrested shortly afterwards and was due to be presented for remand on Tuesday, police detective chief inspector Mikko Alakärppä said in a police statement.

The preliminary investigation is ongoing, and the motive is not yet known.
