Mediation in the labour dispute involving Finland’s universities of applied sciences will resume today, Yle reports, citing the Office of the National Conciliator.
The talks will restart at 1 p.m. The office said shortly after 7 p.m. on Sunday that mediation had ended without an agreement.
The dispute has continued since April. The parties are the Trade Union of Education in Finland OAJ, the Union of Professional and Managerial Staff YTN, and Sivista, which represents employers.
The National Conciliator has presented two settlement proposals. The employers rejected the first, while OAJ rejected the second.
Universities of applied sciences held nearly 20 24-hour strikes in the spring.
