Mediation in the labour dispute involving Finland’s universities of applied sciences will continue today, Yle reports, citing the Office of the National Conciliator.
The dispute has been mediated since early April. The parties are the Trade Union of Education in Finland OAJ, the Federation of Salaried Employees YTN and Sivista, which represents employers.
The national conciliator presented a first settlement proposal in May, but the employers rejected it. OAJ rejected a second proposal in June.
Nearly 20 24 hour strikes were held at universities of applied sciences in the spring.
