Tourists spent 66.57 million nights in Denmark last year, according to figures from Danmarks Statistik reported by DR.

The average equates to 11 overnight stays per Danish resident, but the distribution is uneven across the country. Just three municipalities—Copenhagen, Varde, and Ringkøbing-Skjern—accounted for a third of all stays, with 11.9 million, 5.5 million, and 5.1 million respectively. The west coast saw the highest concentration of overnight stays per capita.
