Nearly 24 hours after a leisure boat collided with a tanker off Tjörn, police have yet to disclose details of their investigation, reports Swedish public broadcaster SVT.
A mother and daughter remain missing following the Tuesday night accident, which saw two others rescued. Search operations have since been called off.
Police press officer Fredrik Svedemyr said authorities are continuing their work but offered no further information. “We have to let the investigation take its course,” he stated.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Swedish Sea Rescue Society reported a possible wreck site, though police could not confirm the finding. Divers from the emergency services have assisted, but it remains unclear whether underwater searches will continue overnight.
