Trucker festival in Tórshavn sets attendance record

The Trucker Festival in Tórshavn is expected to break attendance records this year, according to organiser Leif Eliasen.

The event, held today and tomorrow at Eystarubryggja in the capital, showcases trucks, construction machinery, and other heavy vehicles in a weekend-long display. Eliasen said participation grows annually, with this year’s edition drawing unprecedented numbers.

Activities include vehicle competitions, with visitors invited to vote for their favourites. The festival aims to create a positive environment where the public can view various types of trucks, machinery, and cranes for free, while participants pay to take part.
