The Ólavsøka speech will be shorter this year than in previous years, according to Prime Minister Beinir Johannesen, the youngest leader to deliver the address.
Johannesen, a 29-year-old from Klaksvík, confirmed that he received assistance from the opposition in writing the speech but emphasized that the words are his own. He told Faroese broadcaster KVF that the brevity reflects the times.
