Steamship Tarjanne stranded on Lake Näsijärvi with 50 passengers
Finland The steamship Tarjanne is stranded on Lake Näsijärvi in Ruovesi, Yle reports.
The vessel, carrying 50 passengers and eight crew members, suffered a mechanical failure and anchored near the shipping route in the Jäminginvuolte area. Rescue authorities, in cooperation with the Pirkanmaa maritime rescue association, are assisting the ship to the nearest port.
No injuries have been reported. Emergency services received the alert in Ruovesi on Friday afternoon.
