Swedish transport agency warns of fake payment demand texts
The Swedish Transport Agency (Trafikverket) is warning the public about fraudulent text messages demanding payment for traffic fines, according to a notice on the agency’s website.
The messages falsely claim to be from the agency but are not. Trafikverket states it never sends payment demands or requests for bank details via email or text.
Recipients are urged not to click links, share account information, or transfer money.
