Man in his twenties pronounced dead after being found injured at home

A man in his twenties found severely injured at his residence in Ålgård, Gjesdal municipality, was pronounced dead on Friday, police announced on Monday.

The incident was reported to police on Tuesday, July 7, when emergency services transported the man to the emergency department. He had remained hospitalized since then.

Police spokesperson Christina Nessa said relatives have been informed that authorities are publicly disclosing the death. Investigators have conducted forensic examinations at the residence and searches in the surrounding area.

Police continue to pursue multiple lines of inquiry, including the possibility of an accident or a criminal act.
