Drama erupts in Nørresundby as police come under gunfire

An industrial zone in Nørresundby, Denmark, was the scene of a major police operation on Friday after officers responded to a reported fire and became involved in a gunfight that left one civilian dead and two people injured.

Nordjyllands Politi said officers arrived at the scene and came under fire, prompting a shootout in which a suspect and a police officer were wounded. Police later discovered a civilian victim at the location.

The force said an extensive investigation is ongoing.
