Manslaughter suspect jailed after Vaasa home invasion wounds three

A man who forced his way into a home in Vaasa early Tuesday and wounded three people with a bladed weapon has been jailed on probable cause for attempted murder, attempted manslaughter, aggravated breach of domicile and resisting an officer, police said.

Police received an emergency call reporting a violent assault in the early hours of Tuesday and took a man into custody at the scene. He was then taken to Oulu police prison.

The wounded were treated at a local hospital; their conditions were not disclosed.
