Driver rescued from camper toilet after vehicle rolled onto its side

A camper van rolled onto its side in Kuusamo on Wednesday afternoon, trapping the driver inside the vehicle’s toilet.

The van had been parked on Kemijärventie road when it began moving and tipped over toward a roadside embankment. The driver, who had been using the toilet, was unable to exit on their own.

Rescue services accessed the vehicle through a roof hatch using a ladder and freed the driver. No injuries were reported, and a cat traveling with the driver also escaped unharmed.
