Parachutist dies near Kuopio airport

A parachutist died on Tuesday in an accident near Kuopio airport in Siilinjärvi’s Rissala area, Eastern Finland police confirmed to Yle. The victim was a man.

Police have launched a death investigation and have not released further details about the deceased or the circumstances of the incident. Iltalehti first reported the accident.
