High pressure brings dry heat and record temperatures to southwest Finland
A high-pressure system is bringing dry, warm weather to Finland, with temperatures in the southwest expected to exceed 25°C for several days, according to Yle.
While southern and western regions will see sunshine and heatwave conditions, northern and central areas may experience cooler air, with temperatures dipping below 20°C. Scattered showers are possible in the far north.
Evening conditions will clear widely, but the overall pattern remains unchanged, with the southwest staying warm. Despite the heat, Finland remains one of Europe’s cooler regions, as much of the continent faces temperatures around 30°C, with Norway even recording potential all-time highs.
