A Faroese six-year-old passenger boat has completed its first voyage powered by green energy, marking a step toward sustainable maritime transport, according to a report by Faroese public broadcaster KVF.

Eyðun Egholm, involved in the project, said the initiative aims to encourage broader adoption of green energy transitions. The boat is intended for harbor tours, similar to those offered in the capital, Tórshavn.

Development of the vessel took approximately five years, Egholm noted.
