Man rescued from water in Oslo drowning incident

Emergency services responded to a serious drowning incident at Frysja in Oslo on Tuesday afternoon, reports Dagbladet, citing NTB.
An off-duty firefighter nearby noticed the incident and alerted emergency services before swimming out to retrieve a man from the water. He then assisted with CPR and first aid.
Police were notified at 14:17, with multiple patrols and a police helicopter dispatched to the scene. Divers later searched the water to confirm no others were involved.
The man was treated by medical personnel and taken to hospital by ambulance. Police confirmed to Nordre Aker Budstikke that he is critically injured. Operations leader Anders Aas stated at 15:35 that the on-site response had concluded.
