Man kicks police officer in the head during Haapavesi arrest

Police in Haapavesi were investigating a reported fight when a man kicked an officer in the head during an arrest early Tuesday, Yle reports.

The incident occurred around midnight as officers responded to a possible altercation. While investigating, police spotted a man by the roadside matching the description provided. When officers moved to detain him for questioning, he resisted and kicked one of them in the head.

Police described the man’s behavior as erratic. He is now suspected of violently resisting a public official.
