Motorcyclist dies in Indre Østfold crash

A motorcyclist died in Indre Østfold on Saturday after veering off the road, Dagbladet reports.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, responded to the scene. At 20:10, life-saving first aid was terminated, and the motorcyclist was declared dead. Next of kin have been notified.

No witnesses saw the crash itself. A passing driver alerted authorities after spotting the motorcycle and rider on the ground. Bystanders performed first aid until paramedics arrived, according to Rune Isaksen, operations manager at Øst police district.

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s accident investigation team is en route, and police forensic technicians will examine the site. The road will remain closed for several hours.
