Serious traffic collision in Skien

An air ambulance has been dispatched to the scene of a collision between a bus and a car in Skien, reports Dagbladet. One person is unconscious, according to police.

Police described the crash as serious, with a person in the car initially trapped. Authorities confirmed the individual was freed by 16:00 and remains unconscious. The bus carried multiple passengers, and Skien’s emergency medical services are preparing to treat several people, though no injuries among them have been reported.

An air ambulance is on site, and a police helicopter is en route. The road is expected to remain closed for several hours. Norway’s Accident Investigation Board and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s accident response team are also heading to the scene.
