Norway fans in Denmark prepare for quarter-final celebration
Norwegian football fever has spread to Denmark as thousands of Norwegian tourists prepare for tonight’s World Cup quarter-final against England, with bars and campsites across the country gearing up for large gatherings.
In Sæby, Hedebo Strand Camping has arranged a communal viewing for Norwegian guests, with co-owner Lene Krüger expecting up to 150 spectators. Many booked stays specifically to watch the match, she said.
Jakobs Café and Bar in Skagen also anticipates a full house. Owner Jakob Sund recalled how Norwegian fans spilled onto the street during Sunday’s round-of-16 win over Brazil, using pots and ladles as makeshift instruments. For tonight’s game, the bar has purchased a large drum to fuel the chants.
The match kicks off at 23:00 and will be broadcast on TV 2 and streamed on dr.dk.
