Child’s hands injured in Linnanmäki accident

Police in Helsinki are investigating an accident at the Linnanmäki amusement park where a child’s hands were trapped under a heavy metal plate, Yle reports.

The plate was covering electrical cables, according to a police statement. The child, under school age, sustained hand injuries and was taken for further medical treatment.

Authorities were notified of the incident on Friday evening around 20:00. The case is being treated as a preliminary investigation into causing bodily harm.
