Bad Bunny concerts in Sweden draw 100,000 fans
Bad Bunny will perform his first solo concerts in Sweden this weekend at Strawberry Arena in Solna, with around 100,000 tickets sold, half to international visitors, SVT reports.
Victor Galaz, a Swedish-Chilean political scientist and associate professor at Stockholm University, expects a large Latin American turnout. He described the Puerto Rican superstar as his “household god” in a recent column, a departure from his usual climate research commentary in Svenska Dagbladet.
“There is a strong emotional connection that goes back to our shared history,” Galaz told SVT’s Aktuellt on Thursday. He anticipates the events will evoke nostalgia, longing, and a powerful musical experience for many attendees.
Galaz also noted that Bad Bunny’s music often carries messages about identity, colonialism, and U.S. immigration policy.
