Traffic accidents cause delays across Norway
Two separate traffic accidents caused significant delays on Norwegian roads Thursday afternoon, Dagbladet reports.
On the E18 highway in Oslo, a rear-end collision left one person requiring ambulance treatment. Operations manager Tor Grøttum confirmed traffic had come to a complete standstill, with substantial vehicle damage reported. Police later confirmed a tow truck had arrived and one lane had reopened, allowing traffic to resume.
Meanwhile, Riksvei 7 over Hardangervidda in Hol was closed following a collision between two vehicles involving four people. All escaped their cars with minor injuries. Operations manager Lise Bjørnsund said long queues had formed as authorities worked to restore normal traffic flow.
No timeline has been given for when traffic will return to normal on either route.
