Faroese insurer LÍV is searching for a new CEO following the abrupt resignation of Jan Jakobsen less than two weeks ago, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

The new CEO’s primary task will be to maintain and strengthen the company’s financial foundation, ensuring LÍV has a well-organised structure, good working conditions, and services that meet the needs of customers, partners, employers, and other collaborators. The role also requires a forward-looking approach, leading the company in a market where demand for consulting, customer experience, competitive solutions, risk management, loyalty, and transparency is steadily growing.

LÍV is working with Danish consultancy Momentum on the recruitment process. Applications must be submitted by 3 August. Jakobsen had served as CEO for 14 years.
