Faroese salmon harvest reaches 30,000 tons in Q2

Bakkafrost harvested 30,000 tons of salmon in the second quarter of 2026, with the Faroe Islands accounting for 26,700 tons and Scotland 3,200 tons, Faroese broadcaster KVF reports.
The average weight per fish was 5.6 kg in the Faroes and 5.2 kg in Scotland. Smolt releases totaled 5.6 million in the Faroes and 3.9 million in Scotland.
Havsbrún sold 37,400 tons of feed in the same period, while the company purchased 109,700 tons of fish.
