Southern and eastern Norway will see a prolonged period of warm weather starting next week, with temperatures potentially staying high into the following week, according to Dagbladet.

Meteorologist Terje Alsvik Walløe told the paper that western Norway, which has so far had a disappointing summer of low temperatures and heavy rain, may also see improvement. Temperatures there are forecast to rise above 20°C after a brief dip.

A high-pressure system moving in from the UK is driving the change, though northern Norway will see little benefit. Walløe said the region can expect mixed conditions with temperatures struggling to exceed 15–16°C, except in Tromsø, where Monday may reach 18–19°C.
