Traffic rises in two Faroese tunnels

Average daily traffic in June reached its highest level in months in both the Sandoy and Eysturoy tunnels, according to figures reported by Faroese broadcaster KVF.

The Sandoy tunnel recorded 1,337 vehicles per day, while the Eysturoy tunnel saw 7,381. In May, the counts were 1,241 and 7,031 respectively.

Elsewhere, the Norðoy tunnel logged 4,977 daily vehicles, and the Vága tunnel 3,800.
