Moomin mugs flood Finnish flea markets as collectors downsize

Finnish flea markets and online resale groups are seeing a surge in Moomin mugs for sale, Yle reports.

The collectible mugs, long a staple of Finnish households, have drawn dedicated fans who spent years—and significant sums—hunting rare designs. In 2021, a single mug sold for €6,100 at a market in Turku. Queues for special editions have stretched for hours, as seen in Lappeenranta in 2021.
