Tórshavn port faces 11 million krona cost overrun

Tórshavn port will cover an additional 11 million krona in costs for its new ferry terminal, according to mayor Heðin Mortensen, who told KVF that the port and Smyril Line had initially agreed that the ferry company and contractor Articon would bear any extra expenses.

When construction began, Mortensen said the port’s share was fixed at 140 million krona. The unexpected overrun now appears unavoidable.
