Faroese paramedics begin new training programme

The first students will start a newly established paramedic training programme in the Faroe Islands after the summer holidays, according to a report by Faroese public broadcaster KVF.

Høgni Louisson and Nataniel Hjaltalin Brekkstein are among the first to enrol. Neither hesitated when the programme was announced, KVF reports.

Both have prior experience in healthcare, having worked as support staff in the emergency department at the national hospital for a year and a half and three months, respectively.
