Representatives from the Faroese Islands Games committee are currently touring the Faroe Islands to assess venues for next year’s event, Faroese broadcaster KVF reports.

Committee members, including Solby Christiansdóttir, have spent the past days examining sites across the archipelago. A group of 60 delegates from all the islands arrived this week to review facilities.

On Friday, the delegation visited locations in Vágar, evaluating areas for archery and beach volleyball, before moving on to Klaksvík. Saturday’s schedule includes inspections in Runavík and the capital, Tórshavn, while Sunday will see visits to Tórsvøllur and Gundadalur stadiums.

The 2027 Islands Games will run from 3 to 9 July across the Faroe Islands, with preparations now entering their final year.
