Noomi Gregersen named chair of Faroese pandemic committee

The Faroese government has reappointed three members to its pandemic committee, according to a report by Kringvarp Føroya. The committee advises on the management of serious and socially critical illnesses.
Noomi O. Gregersen, director of the Health Agency, was elected chair of the committee. The other reappointed members are Bjørgfríð Ludvig, director of the Health and Social Affairs Ministry, Gunnvá Guttesen, deputy director of the Hospital Service, and Eyðun Christiansen, director of the Municipal Association.
Permanent members of the committee include Michael Boolsen, a physician, Lars Fodgaard Møller, national medical officer, Birna Mørkøre, chief medical officer, Eyðun Mørkøre, director of TAKS, and Bárður Enni, director of the Health Science Institute.
The pandemic committee was established on 1 January 2024.
