Former WWF Finland secretary general Mauri Rautkari dies at 94

Mauri Rautkari, the former secretary general of WWF Finland, has died at the age of 94, the organisation announced.

Born in 1932, Rautkari held a master’s degree in agricultural and forestry sciences and had also studied business administration at Harvard University.

He served as secretary general of WWF Finland from 1976 to 1992. A pioneer in nature photography, he was also a founding member of the Finnish Nature Photographers Association in 1977.
