Driver dies after car leaves road in Sauvo

A car driver died instantly in Sauvo on Wednesday afternoon after the vehicle left the road and struck a tree, Southwestern Finland Police reported.

The middle-aged driver was the only person in the car. Emergency services dispatched five units to the scene on Haanniementie.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash and have not released further details. The incident closed road 12072 to traffic for about two hours.
