The Finnish Immigration Service has resumed processing asylum applications from Iranian nationals, the agency announced on Wednesday.

The service had partially suspended decisions on Iranian asylum cases in February due to changes in Iran’s security situation. Since then, officials have monitored developments and gathered information to support a return to normal processing.

Around 100 Iranian asylum applications are currently under review by the agency.
