The Faroese government has yet to appoint members to its innovation committee, despite earlier plans to finalise the body by June, Prime Minister Beinir Johannesen told KVF.

Johannesen said the process had taken longer than expected but confirmed the committee would be established this summer. The committee, inactive since the last parliamentary election, was slated for a June restart after the prime minister’s May announcement.

Two vacancies remain after former chair Ben Arabo and Starvsfelag chair Súni Selfoss stepped down earlier this year. The four confirmed members are Marita Rasmussen, Heri á Rógvi, Hjørdis Gaard Lailudóttir, and Óluva Klettskarð.
