Three men attempted to steal helicopter in Gothenburg

Three men tried to steal a helicopter on the island of Hisingen in Gothenburg on Saturday evening, according to a report by public broadcaster SVT citing Göteborgs-Posten.

Witnesses called police after seeing the men steal a car with a trailer carrying the helicopter, which was intended for use in an air show weekend in Säve. The men crashed the vehicle into a structure shortly after, police told the newspaper. They then fled on foot into a nearby forest.

Police arrested the men and are investigating them on suspicion of attempted aggravated theft, criminal damage, and unauthorized taking of a vehicle.
