Cirkus Summarum warns guests after cleaning fluid mixed into slush ice

Cirkus Summarum has warned guests who attended its Saturday afternoon performance in Ballerup after cleaning fluid was accidentally mixed into a slush ice container, DR reports.

The incident occurred during the intermission in one section of the stall, affecting a single container of elderflower-flavored slush ice. The circus sent an SMS to attendees, stating the liquid was highly diluted but potent.

Guests experiencing symptoms such as difficulty swallowing or mouth and throat pain within 24 hours are advised to contact the Poison Hotline at 82 12 12 12.

Muskelsvindfonden, the charity organizing the event, confirmed the error and told Ekstra Bladet it is reviewing internal procedures to prevent a recurrence. The Poison Hotline has been notified.

Cirkus Summarum runs in Ballerup from June 23 to July 15 and in Aarhus from July 21 to August 6, with proceeds benefiting Muskelsvindfonden.
