Vágur municipality ends 2025 with 4.9 million krona surplus

Vágur Municipality closed 2025 with a surplus of 4.9 million krona, according to its annual accounts approved at a council meeting this week.

The result exceeds the budgeted deficit of 3.5 million krona for the year, the municipality stated in a press release on Saturday.

Total revenue reached 86.7 million krona, an increase of 4.1 million krona compared to 2024. Operating expenses amounted to 75.8 million krona, with an additional 6 million krona in investments. Long-term debt stood at 39.9 million krona at year-end.
