Fatal workplace accident claims life of young man in Vestmanna, Faroe Islands

A workplace accident occurred near Vestmanna today, resulting in a fatality.

Around 11 AM, authorities received reports of a younger Faroese man who had been crushed by a hammer during work operations.

Despite the arrival of a rescue helicopter, it was confirmed that the man had died at the scene.

According to Vørn’s website, the accident took place at the Mýruverkið site in Vestmanna.

The man’s relatives have been informed, and the police are now investigating the incident.
