Heatwave spreads across Europe

An extreme and widespread heatwave has built up over Europe, with record temperatures reported in Spain, Italy, France, parts of Germany, and the UK, according to Danish broadcaster DR.

The intense heat is now moving toward Denmark, where temperatures have already risen sharply.

Research cited by DR suggests human-caused climate change has made such extreme temperatures five times more likely.
