Weather in Finland to remain unstable with rain showers expected across the country
The weather in Finland for the upcoming week remains unstable. Thursday will be noticeably cooler, with temperatures staying below 20 degrees Celsius across the country. Meteorologist Aleksi Lohtander from Yle predicts a rather cloudy and unsettled day, especially in the eastern regions, where rain showers are expected. In the province of Pohjanmaa and southern Lapland, heavier and more consistent rainfall may occur. Lohtander notes that the cloud cover will be thick in the north, while southern and eastern areas might see some breaks.
The unpredictable weather is set to continue into the weekend, with temperatures hovering around 20 degrees Celsius. Little rain is expected in the north, but other parts of Finland will experience precipitation. On Friday, showers and possibly thunderstorms are forecast for central and southern regions, with the most intense bursts occurring in the east.
Saturday’s weather will largely mirror that of Friday, although the focus of the showers is expected to shift westward. “There might even be sunshine in central and northern Lapland,” Lohtander adds.
Sunday is not anticipated to bring significant changes, as conditions will remain unstable across the country. It will be dry in Lapland, while other areas can expect a mix of sunshine and clouds. With this variability, carrying an umbrella is advisable for those venturing outdoors.
