Car collides with tractor in Sotkamo, driver seriously injured

A car collided with a tractor-mounted mower on Kajaanintie road at the Kontinmäki intersection in Sotkamo on Thursday morning at around 9 AM, Yle reports.

According to police, the tractor driver was approaching from Sotkamo and turning left onto Kontinjoki road when the car, coming from Kajaani, struck the mower being towed by the tractor. The car then veered off the road.

The car driver sustained serious injuries in the crash.

Police are asking the driver of another vehicle present on Kontinjoki road at the time, but not involved in the accident, to contact Oulu Police Department at +358 295 416 194.
