Faroese Supreme Court hears drug smuggling appeal

The Faroese Supreme Court is hearing an appeal today from three people convicted of drug smuggling involving 500 grams of cocaine and four kilograms of hashish, Faroese broadcaster KVF reports.

A woman and a man were sentenced in October last year to three and four years in prison, respectively. The woman arrived in the Faroe Islands by ferry on July 27, 2025, with the drugs in her car. The man arrived by plane on July 31.

In December last year, a young man was sentenced to four years in prison for his role in receiving the drugs in the Faroe Islands.
