Copenhagen Airport is bracing for its busiest summer on record, with 10 million passengers expected to pass through its terminals in June, July, and August, according to a press release from the airport.

The figure represents a 400,000 increase over last year, setting a new high for the summer months. Commercial director Peter Krogsgaard advised travelers to pack extra patience alongside their holiday spirits.

The peak is forecast for Sunday, 19 July, with 124,000 passengers—the highest single-day total in the airport’s history. On the busiest days, longer wait times may occur, particularly at security checkpoints.

Krogsgaard said additional staff will be deployed to guide passengers and streamline their journey. The majority of travelers are expected to be international, with roughly one in three being Danish and 14 percent Swedish.
