Car veers off Ring Road 1 in Helsinki, traffic closed toward Lahti

A car left the road at a Ring Road 1 interchange in Helsinki around 15:00 on Tuesday, closing the lane toward Lahti, Yle reports.

Helsinki rescue services told Yle one passenger car veered off the road for unknown reasons at the interchange with Highway 4 toward Lahti. The driver exited the vehicle unaided.

Rescue services said the driver was taken to hospital for further examination. Emergency crews are on scene, and police will investigate the cause of the accident.
