Icelandic president begins first Faroe Islands visit

Iceland’s President Halla Tómasdóttir and her husband Bjørn Skúlason arrived in the Faroe Islands on Tuesday for her first official visit since taking office in 2024, KVF reports.

After a brief meeting with the prime minister, Tómasdóttir greeted the government at a reception in Tórshavn’s Skansapakkhúsið. She emphasized the importance of meeting in person.
