Two seriously injured after tractor overturns in Mäntyharju

Two young people were seriously injured after the tractor they were riding overturned in Mäntyharju, South Savo, on Thursday evening, according to a police report.

The tractor, arriving from the Mäntyharju area, veered off the road and flipped onto its side at the intersection of Virransalmentie and Haapakaskentie, the South Savo Rescue Department said. Both individuals were trapped under the overturned tractor.

Rescue crews freed the pair, and emergency services transported them to hospital for treatment. Police suspect the young driver of endangering traffic safety and causing bodily harm.
