Four-car pileup in Ylöjärvi disrupts traffic toward Tampere

A four-car collision occurred just before 1 p.m. on Friday at an intersection in central Ylöjärvi on Highway 65, also known as Vaasantie, Yle reports.

Eight people were involved in the crash, according to Aku Pietilä, the duty fire chief with the Pirkanmaa Rescue Department. None sustained serious injuries, and paramedics are examining them at the scene.

Two lanes are closed due to the accident, causing congestion toward Tampere. Traffic disruptions are expected to last until at least 2 p.m.
